Nine Programs. One Question Behind Each: What Happens When This Leader Fails?
Every CALS program starts with honest, data-driven assessment of where you actually are — not where a generic curriculum assumes you should be.
— 01/09
Fundamentals of Leadership
Builds a foundation of strategic thinking, communication, decision-making, and team management — not as theory, but as muscle memory for the decisions that actually define a leader
Format
Interactive workshops, case studies, and practical exercises
The Outcome
Stronger decision-making, clearer communication, and a foundation that holds under pressure
For
Mid and senior-level leaders across all sectors
Every leader starts somewhere. This is where the strong ones start right.
— 02/09
Healthcare Leadership Program
Originally launched with St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College, now expanding to 15 colleges and hospitals nationwide. At Ethio Turkish Hospital, every doctor and nurse passed through this program before the hospital became operational — a foundational requirement, not an optional add-on.
Format
Ethiopia’s Ministry of Finance needed institutional reform — stronger systems, stronger leaders, and a culture shift in how integrity was practiced day to day
Outcome
Healthcare professionals who lead with clinical excellence and institutional effectiveness at the same time
For
Doctors, nurses, residents, hospital administrators, public health professionals
We trained an entire hospital staff before a single patient walked through the door.
— 03/09
Leadership for Entrepreneurs
Addresses what entrepreneurs actually face: managing people under pressure with no playbook, deciding fast with incomplete information, and holding a vision together through failure.
Format
Workshop series with peer learning and real business case studies
The Outcome
Sharper decision-making under uncertainty and stronger team leadership when resources are thin
For
Startup founders, SME owners, social entrepreneurs, business owners
The leadership skills business school never taught, because business school assumes you already have a team to manage.
— 04/09
Adaptive Leadership
Distinguishes technical problems from adaptive challenges and prepares leaders to mobilize people through change with no clear roadmap. Heineken Breweries Ethiopia trusted us with their senior leadership team for exactly this reason.
Format
Executive workshops and applied change-management frameworks
Outcome
Leaders who move forward decisively when there are no easy answers
For
Senior leaders, executives, and change agents across sectors
For when the playbook stops working and the leaders who can't adapt get left behind.
— 05/09

Hands-on team-building workshops and applied exercises
The Outcome
Teams that trust each other, resolve conflict productively, and deliver under pressure

Team leaders, managers, executives responsible for organizational culture
No leader transforms an institution alone. Most don't know how to build the team that will.
— 08/09
Organizational Leadership Assessment
Using the Leadership Culture and Gap Assessment, 360 Feedback, Big Five, Change Style Indicator, and Thomas Kilmann Conflict Model, we give you an honest, evidence-based picture of your leadership reality — then design what actually fits.
Format
Assessment battery, individual and group feedback sessions, custom recommendations
Outcome
A clear, evidence-based understanding of your real strengths and real gaps — not assumed ones
For
Organizations seeking honest insight into their leadership culture and growth areas
Before we prescribe anything, we find out what's actually true.
— 09/09
Leadership Garage
Every month: a lecture from a leader who’s actually been tested, an open Q&A, and real networking. Once a year, the community goes deeper with a two-day Leadership Garage Immersion.
Fresh insight every month and a professional network that compounds over time
For
Emerging leaders, professionals, and anyone seeking ongoing leadership community
No leader transforms an institution alone. Most don't know how to build the team that will.

Our Training Approach
Every CALS program begins with a pre-training assessment — because we’d rather understand your actual leadership culture than assume it. Delivered in English, Amharic, Tigrigna, and Afaan Oromo, following a model of Assessment, Challenge, and Support rooted in Ethiopian cultural tradition, including the coaching wisdom of the coffee ceremony.
